Wars and rumors of wars…

Today there is a lot of talk regarding the possibility of a nuclear war breaking out, under the volatile leadership of terrorists and terrorists supported countries.  Although many of the saints are concerned, nervous and perhaps a bit fearful, let me reassure you that a nuclear war should not bother us.  We know and have the blessed assurance that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.  So, it doesn’t matter how we leave this life…it simply matters that we’re headed to the next life…and not the next death. 

     Furthermore, the probability of us experiencing an all-out nuclear war is considerably less than us experiencing death by natural causes or an accident of some kind.  So, it just makes sense that we should be ready for the end of this life, no matter what format the end comes to us in.  The bible says, “…therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Lord cometh…”  When we least expect it our time will be up.  Will we hear him say well done?  Will we hear him call us a good and faithful servant?  Will the fruit of our labor, love touched lives and saved souls, follow us?  Are you ready?  Because when you hear of wars and rumors of wars…know that the end is closer than we think.
